Sri Sitheswarar Educational Trust was established during 1995, with the sole aim of Education to the rural area people. Sri Sitheswarrar Polytechnic College was established in the mofussial area of Arcot to give the opportunity for rural youth to attain academic excellence and secure gainful employment.
Location and Building
Our Institution is situated at Kalavai Road, Poongodu Village, Arcot -3, Vellore District. about 4 Kms from Arcot. The Arcot town is about 120 Kms. away from Chennai. Our institution is well built with good concrete multistoried blocks in a sprawling area with well furnished class rooms, well equipped laboratories and all facilities for curricular and co-curricular and extra curricular activities, It has calm and serene atmosphere surrounded by verdant lawns and green postures, a place highly coveted and ideally suited for intense study and academic excellence.
Mission
The management and staff strive for academic excellence of high caliber with good hands on experience in the latest technologies and ensure that the students are kept abreast with the changes taking place in the respective fields of Engineering.
The satisfactory execution of a project depends on the cooperative effort on the top level engineers and technicians who do the job at the site. A great responsibility lies on the diploma holders who as middle level engineers fill the gap and make the entire project a success.

Our Institution Shri Sitheswarrar Polytechnic college was started during 1999-2000 with a strength of only about 50 students and two courses viz Mechanical & Electrical & Electronics Engineering. Now we have about 1500 students and with five diploma courses as below
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Electrical & Electronics engineering
- Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering
- Diploma In Civil Engineering
- Diploma In Computer Engineering
We are well known for producing state level rank holders. Recently one of our Electrical Students obtained state level first rank by securing 600 out of 600 marks and created a record. Our mechanical students are producing state records with in 10 Ranks. Our other branch student’s viz. Computer,Civil, ECE are also equally good in giving excellent results and as such we have very good name among public for producing state level Rank holders. Our students also often get 100 out of 100 in their respective engineering subjects and create record.
